Thanks to the long weekend last week I finished a couple of things.
First the bag. I decided that I wanted to finish the bag so I could take it to Long Island for the Holiday. I made very small buttonholes, that, should I decided to do grommets later I can just put them over the buttonholes. Once the straps are thought the buttonholes, you can’t see them anyway; so many grommets are just not in the future for the Betty Shopper. I took Betty to SnB last week and got quite a few compliments. Here she is:
I also finished the cream top. I wore it under my pink suit the other day and it was perfect. Here is a shot of her blocking:
And a close up of the lace trim:
And finally, isn’t it amazing how this:
Can become this:
Better pic to come soon.
In the meantime, I cast on for the Debbie Bliss Cardigan, Juliet, that Crafty Girl is also making. 12 inches of garter stitch should make a boring upcoming post.

you've been a busy bee! everything looks great.
oh i love that cardigan!!
The tank came out beautifully! I'll be at softball on tuesday, but I can't wait to see how that lace piece came out!
Isn't lace amazing? I love how it looks like crud until you block it and then look-out! You did a beautiful job on the Essential Tank. I have to admit, I'm following your lead though I am using Louet Gems instead of the Koigu and am knitting in the round. No reason to sew if not necessary! 1 question though, did you modify the motif repeats? The front/back differ in how many times to repeat the large pattern before switching to the small, etc. How did you handle this? Did you follow as written or modify the front repeats to match the back. Just curious :)
